This rift will heal them as long as they stand in it, severely increasing their survivability. This ability allows Warlocks to throw a small rift onto the ground for themselves and nearby allies. Run Healing RiftĪlthough an empowering rift sounds tempting, a healing rift is usually the way to go regarding any PvE activity in D2. The higher their recovery stat, the faster they get to put down another rift. Plus, a Warlock's recovery stat is actually what impacts their rift's cool-down. The recovery stat allows Guardians to recover from damage more quickly. This increases the survivability of the Warlock (and their team) exponentially as long as the Warlock remembers to throw it at the team instead of the enemy. Warlocks can also consume the grenade to heal and buff themselves. ![]() Warlocks can throw the grenade down and immediately heal whoever it hits, themselves included. While running a solar subclass, Warlocks can heal themselves and allies with their grenade. Warlocks will want to consider pairing Well of Radiance with the Phoenix Protocol exotic chest armor, which will return supercharge for every kill or assist they perform while standing in their Well. Having a Well takes a bit of pressure off the team, and considering co-op adjusts to be more difficult, having the support of a Well is nothing to sneeze at. ![]() Well is a powerful choice for Warlocks, especially if the player is playing on co-op. While the campaign will grant Guardians temporary uses of Strand, the entire campaign can't be completed with the new subclass. Lightfall has also proven to benefit from running Well. RELATED: 10 Best Things About Destiny 2: Lightfall Designed to create a large healing pool on the ground that both protects and buffs any Guardian who stands inside it, Well of Radiance is a popular choice when teams are facing off against challenging missions, like raids and Grandmaster Nightfalls. Established workhorse Exotics like the Sixth Coyote and Wormhusk Crown are familiar contenders, but Hunters also have a few other good choices for their Strand builds. While Well of Radiance isn't the most powerful solar subclass a Warlock can run, it is one of the few support classes in the game. Hunters have a cornucopia of good options when it comes to Exotics to pair with Strand. Best Exotics for Strand Hunters in Lightfall It’s not the most Exotic-feeling piece (or the most popular), but it can do in a pinch. Precious Scars is usually outgunned by Exotics that improve abilities, but while Strand is in its infancy, this might be a decent way to top up your health on kills, though you could also just use a weapon with Unrelenting. This Exotic can potentially let Strand Titans be even closer to the front lines, especially with Strand’s upcoming Woven Mail buff. When you get a matching kill, Precious Scars creates a burst of healing around you, healing you and nearby allies. Precious Scars is among the neutral Exotics that require a weapon that matches your subclass’ damage type, but it can be a good (albeit niche) Exotic if you and your team are in need of some survivability. ![]() Most entries are familiar contenders that have been a staple of subclass-agnostic builds for some time, but Precious Scars can emerge as a contender for niche Strand builds depending on how the subclass pans out. Titans have a few neutral Exotics that can work with Strand. Best Exotics for Strand Titans in Lightfall Keep in mind using your Super will make Mantle of Battle Harmony take a bit to regain the damage bonus, though, so use it sparingly. With Strand weapons possibly on the horizon and the possibility of some buildcrafting changes that make it easier to create Orbs of Power, Mantle of Battle Harmony might climb up the ranks in Lightfall. Mantle of Battle Harmony shines once you have your Super, though: each kill with a matching element gives you around 20 percent more damage to weapons matching your subclass. While your Super isn’t full, Mantle of Battle Harmony grants you some Super energy on each kill, though it’s on a two-second cooldown. This is another potentially good Exotic that will officially work with Strand.
